Pichl Point
The vineyard „Pichl Point“ is a type of high plateau with a profound soil, mostly characterized by layers of loess. Most of the slopes face the Danube towards the south-east, giving them the best sun exposure. The wines are often aromatic, expressive and powerful. Particularly our Grüner Veltliner thrives here.

Jochinger Berg
The vineyard on the hillside behind the Kollmitz and Steinriegl is named “Jochinger Berg”. Because of the high altitude and occasional ditches, there are significant differences within the vineyard. In the lower area, the soil is composed of a paragneiss mass that extends into hard and less weathered paragneiss in the higher vineyards. At mid-level altitudes, a little loess is also to be found.
